1. Smile – We generally smile when we are happy for some reason. But usually, kids don’t need any particular reason for smiling. They smile whenever they feel like doing so. Actually, there is a science behind it which states that smile and happiness are just complementary to each other. In other words, we smile because we want to be happy, and when we are happy the brain releases dopamine, which makes us happier. So, the next time you find yourself feeling upset, gift yourself a lovely smile and see the magic. This will not only make you healthier but also happier.
2. Exercise – Exercise is the best way to remain healthy and fit. Regular exercise can help you to reduce stress and to boost happiness into your heart. For young kids, even a small amount of physical activity can make a big difference and coupled with mental exercises it can help kids develop into healthy adults. Some outdoor games with your parents, siblings, or friends, cycling with your uncle or dad, anything will go as a substitute for exercise. Don’t throw yourself into a strenuous running routine, you can consider these exercise starters:
- Take a short walk every night after dinner.
- Platforms like LeapWaters provide very good overall opportunity or mental exercise.
- You can take up yoga with your family members.
- Start your day with 5 minutes of stretching or you would say Morning PT.
3. Sleep – We know it very well that adequate sleep is vital. Being a kid you should at least sleep for 10 to 12 hours properly every day. This will help you to have good health, brain functioning accurately, and emotional well-being. Here are a few tips to help you build a better sleep routine:
- Try to follow a sleep routine.
- Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day.
- Avoid heavy eating especially at night.
4. Eat – Your food choices definitely have an impact on your overall physical health. But sometimes food can affect your state of mind as well. Start your day by making healthy and delicious breakfast choices. Swap your food choices as and when required. There are some suggestions for a healthy child –
- Eat less sugar.
- Take dairy products rich in protein.
- Eat healthy veggies regularly.
5. Thank – Simply being grateful can make your mood happiest. For example, recent research has found that practising gratitude can have a significant impact on feelings of happiness. Start each day by acknowledging one person or thing, you’re grateful for. Enjoy the pleasant things happening in your life.
Kids are always supposed to be happy and without any worries. So just live your life to the Fullest!!
